Recent Ph.D. grad Naomi Stolpner, collaborating with current Ph.D. student Nadia Manzi, has published a new paper showing how 8-cell-stage C. elegans embryos form dynamic apical caps that regulate the orientation of the mitotic spindle. We’re very proud to see this work come to fruition. There are many surprises and outstanding mysteries regarding how these structures form, which should keep us busy for a while longer!
